Warm weather, the crime lab, and fantasy baseball The mornings are becoming warmer. I haven’t seen my breath all week. I’m still fairly bundled up but perhaps in a month I’ll be down to shorts and a long sleeve T-shirt in the mornings.
Last night I mowed and trimmed the lawn in sunny, 65 degree weather. All the lawn mowing excited Aidan to no end. He sat next to Marathon Girl and watched in amazement each time I walked by. (I think he secretly wants to push the lawnmower.) When I would come near him I would stop mowing for a moment and wave at him. Aidan laughed and got even more excited each time I did that.
Aidan’s growing fast both emotionally and physically. He now wants to do the same things he sees Julie and I do. On the downside, he’s also starting to become more demanding. For example, if we don’t give him his food at diner as fast as he wants it, he starts to throw a fit. Silly kid. Throwing a fit is not going to get you food any faster. We hope as he learns to talk, he’ll say “please” and "thank you" and be a little more patient.

Marathon Girl is about done working for the crime lab. Originally her part time job was supposed to be about 10 hours a week reviewing case files from home. Though the job description hasn't changed, the amount of work the lab keeps giving her has grown. Not wanting to work more than 10 hours a week and wanting to spend more time with Aidan and other projects, Marathon Girl tenured her two week notice this morning. No suprise but the lab tried to get her to stay. Therewas little they could do to keep her this time though. Marathon Girl's lookingforward to other things. ***
My poor fantasy baseball team got off to a slow start. My team fared poorly to the Petco Diamond Dawgs in their first 10 game series. At 3-6-1 my team currently sits in ninth place. Things are looking good for my upcoming games though. My team is finally coming together and my stats are improving. Crossing my fingers that Summerland can turn things around.
