Aidan falls into six inches of water

I was shaving this morning when Aidan crawled into the bathroom. He’s fascinated with the sound of the electric razor and always makes a beeline for the bathroom when he hears it. This morning when he crawled into the bathroom he noticed the sound of the tub draining (Marathon Girl had just gotten out of the tub) and decided to investigate. Seeing the water he picked up his rubber ducky from the side of the tub and threw it in. The rubber ducky floated to the other side of the tub and Aidan reached in vain for it.

“I’ll get it for you in a second Aidan,” I said and returned my attention to the mirror.

The next thing I heard was a big splash. I looked over at the tub. Aidan had fallen it. He looked surprised and then like he about to cry. Then he noticed the rubber ducky and started playing with it. Marathon Girl, hearing the splash, ran in to the bathroom panicked. Aidan smiled and laughed and proceeded to splash around the tub.

It could have been more serious but thankfully, Aidan knows how to sit up in six inches of water. What a fun kid.
