Sore all over and my Super Bowl XXXIX pick
2005-02-04 2:03 p.m.
I hurt. My entire upper body is sore. From my neck to my waist even the slightest movement causes me to grimace. Don’t even ask how I made it through my four mile run this morning. I think the cold froze my body enough that the pain was dulled away. But there is good news amid the pain. The weights Marathon Girl bought me rocks. It’s much better than my old bench. And I’m not quite as weak as I thought I was. Some muscle has apparently left over from a couple years ago. Still makes it hard to move, however. Marathon Girl’s dad is scheduled to come over tomorrow and help me put together a routine. Come Sunday morning, I doubt I’ll be able to move. *** Sunday is my big annual Super Bowl party. This is the first time in years that I haven’t cared about who wins. (Admittedly I’m leaning toward New England because I simply can’t stand T.O.) Because of so much interest this year, I’m holding it at the in-laws to accommodate everyone. And there will be food – lots of food. I’m making my famous chicken wings. Marathon Girl is making her delicious seven layer dip. Other people are brining other tasty treats. I’m planning on eating until I enter some sort of food coma. *** For those who care, here’s my prediction for the big game on Sunday. (I came soooooo close to calling the game last year.) New England will win and win big. Look for the Eagles to keep it within 10 points until the end of the third quarter. After that, expect New England to put the game way and win it by, oh, 17 points. Have a great Super Bowl weekend everyone!
