Marathon Girl wins her second Marathon

We fully expected to come home from Texas and find a foot of snow on the ground. Instead we arrived home to find not a trace of snow anywhere in the valley. (The mountains on the other hand, have plenty.) This morning I awoke to six inches of the white stuff all over the ground and for a brief moment wished I was back in the heat and humidity of Houston.

We all enjoyed our time in Texas. Marathon Girl ran hard and ran well. She was the top female finisher and easily requalified for the Boston Marathon. The only thing that gave her any problem was the humidity. Toward the end of the run the humidity became rather stifling. Aside from that, no complaints. She did what she set out to do and winning her second marathon was a nice bonus.

Much more to write but no time at the moment. I’m trying to dig myself out of all the work piled up on my desk.
