Half-Life 2 and looking forward to Houston

I've been slow to update over the last few days but I have a good excuse: Video games!

I’ll be the first to admit I’m not big on computer games. Though fun to play I often don’t find them real or challenging enough to make it worth my time to continually play them. (Besides when you have Marathon Girl and Aidan in your life, why waste time on the computer when I can spend time with them.)

Occasionally however a games comes out that I really like. Such has been the case with Half-Life 2. I loved the first game and have been waiting for five years for the sequel to come out. Marathon Girl was gracious enough to let me buy it even though she knew it would mean I’d spend an hour or so a night playing it.

It was worth the wait.

For the last 10 days I’ve been playing it for about an hour before heading off to bed. It is by far the most real and most challenging game I’ve ever played. Very fun.

And big hugs to Marathon Girl for not only letting me purchase it but play it a little every night.

Marathon Girl has a 12 miles run tomorrow and an eight mile run the next weekend. Aside from a few smaller runs during the weeks she looks to be in great shape for the New Year’s Day marathon. It’s been over a year since we’ve had any type of trip and we’re looking forward to Houston.
