Eugene's wedding and Aidan's thumb Eugene’s wedding was actually a pretty decent affair, all things considered. I saw a lot of his extended family which I haven’t seen in years. Many didn’t recognize me at first because I no longer need glasses but it was nice to catch up with them. The most interesting things about the wedding though was that aside from Eugene and the judge performing the ceremony, I was the only other person wearing a suit. I anticipated this but I failed to inform Marathon Girl on what to expect. She was a little shocked that people would show up to a wedding in shorts and a T-shirt and proceed to smoke during the ceremony. The ceremony was nice. I haven’t seen Eugene this happy in a long time. I’m glad he’s found someone to (hopefully) spend the rest of his life with. He and his wife are obviously in love and I hope they have a wonderful life together. *** Aidan’s found his thumb. Until yesterday he’s been content to try and stick his whole hand in his mouth. Then yesterday he realized he had a thumb and that it’s much easier to suck it than his whole hand. We really don’t want him to be a thumb sucker so we’re sticking the pacifier in his mouth instead.
