I wore a suit and tie to work today

I’m attending a wedding this afternoon.

So I came to work dressed in a suit and tie.

Let’s just say my company’s dress code is pretty lax. No one wears a shirt and a tie. Most people wear jeans.

To top it off, today is Friday. Friday is dress down day at work. Most people wear shorts and T-shirts.

Not me. Not today. I’m dressed in a suit and tie.

It’s like being Britney Spears singing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I stand out.

Did I mention it’s going to be in the mid-90s today and I’ll be wearing a dark grey wool suit?

Tonight Marathon Girl and I have invitations to two birthday parties, another party, and the post-wedding reception.

Marathon Girl and I are all for hanging out with friends and family but you’d think they could have spread it out a little. Four events on the same night? Yikes!

We’re going to try to hit at least portions of the two birthday parties. You know, stop by, drop off a gifts, and get out of there.

It’s nice to feel popular even if it’s only one day a year.

Did I mention I wore a suit and tie to work today?
