Marathon Girl is in bed for the remainder of her pregnancy. After seeing her blood pressure yesterday, the doctor told her to stop working and stay in bed. No more work. No more working out. Nothing.
Her blood pressure has been on the high the last month but we were kind of hoping that she’d be able to ride through the last three weeks without a problem. This morning she received a nonstress test and fortunately the baby is well and healthy though if her blood pressure continues to go up the baby could arrive a few weeks early.
Marathon Girl was crushed. She enjoys working and being active. In fact if you wanted to torture her, the best way would be to put her in bed and tell her she couldn’t do anything. Fortunately we had to go over to her parents house last night for Cassi’s birthday, and I worked out a schedule with her mom where I’ll drop Marathon Girl off in the mornings and pick her up after work. That way someone can keep an eye on her and make sure she’s not jumping out of bed and mowing the lawn. Fortunately we both want a healthy baby so though it will be hard, Marathon Girl is going do her best to relax until the baby arrives.
With Marathon Girl in bed, I had to run errands all by myself today. It wasn’t as fun when we do it together.
